Me: “So you’ve been cutting hair for a while?”
Him: “Yeah man, for about 40 years. I’ve seen ’em all. The Beatles mop-head, the mohawk, the pompadour.”
Me: “What’ve you noticed?”
Him: “Some people like to think fashion runs in cycles. But I think the tried and true stays the same. For guys, the cut that will never go out is short on the sides, long on top. Every generation might have a different way of styling it – they might get the sides extremely short, or they might spike up the top. But that cut has been and will be around forever.”
